My name is Toni, and I take photos!
That pretty much sums it up. That's what I do, and I love it. I could bang on about "capturing the essence of your day" or "let me tell your love story", but that's just not me. I am not a hipster. I am not one of the cool kids. I'm not the best in the world, and I don't pretend to be. I don't care about winning awards or being popular. I care about taking images that my clients will love. Plain and simple.
I wouldn't even know where to start if I were asked to define my style. I've heard it described as beautiful, natural, elegant, classic and romantic. I want you to have photos that are better than any of your friends. If your girlfriends are insanely jealous of your wedding photos, then my work here is done. High fives all round.
I like to think that not only do my clients choose me, but that I also choose them. I love it when I instantly "click" with a couple who walk through my door. On your wedding day, I don't want to be your photographer. I just want to be a friend who has a couple of cool cameras. The same friend who uses the word "moist" more than is considered socially acceptable. You'll get used to it.
I want to enjoy your day as much as you do. I want to laugh (either with you, or at you), and maybe even cry (although I'll deny it ever happened). Most of all I want to be able to walk away from your wedding with a smile on my face just knowing that "those two are the real deal".
Things you may or may not know:
I am a wife, daughter, sister, aunty, best friend, and daddys little girl
My husbands name is Tony. Yep. Toni & Tony. It's nowhere near as cool as it sounds.
I shot my first wedding with my Dad when I was 14 years old. That was 22 years ago. You do the math.
I am a proud Mum to a brown bull called Elizabeth. But I still love a good steak.
I have a beautiful Samoyed called Toby (or Toby Tobes, or TT).
I am a huge fan of Reno 911, Chuck, Red Dwarf, and Due South.
I am the person who always takes the joke that little bit too far.
I have identical twin sisters.
My drink of choice is Canadian Club.
I am quite partial to the musical stylings of Mr Barry Manilow.
I love to travel, and have visited all 7 continents. But I hate flying.
I love being in front of the camera just as much as I love being behind it.
oh, and one more thing...
I have used photoshop to make myself thinner in every single one of these photos.
